It’s not a long trip to run parts from the Fruitland location to Weiser, he said. Prior to opening the Weiser location in October of 2018, the Fruitland branch of Campbell Tractor had serviced the area, Fossey said, so the sales and service coverage will be there like it was before. When they are not out in the field they will be at the Fruitland location, Fossey said. The service technicans live in Weiser and will continue to cover Weiser and Washington County with service trucks. The Weiser location employed two parts people and two service technicans who will stay with the company and relocate. He said the company remains committed to local agriculture and will continue to support and service farmers in Weiser, Washington County and points north from the Fruitland and Ontario locations. Service technicans are trained to work on equipment out in the field, and that’s often more conventient for farmers than hauling equipment in need of repairs to town. He said the company is putting more emphasis on bringing equipment sales and service to the farm. Campbell Tractor also has businesses in Ontario, Nampa, Wendell, Glenns Ferry and Homedale.Ĭhad Fossey, operations manager for Campbell Tractor, said it was a difficult decision to leave Weiser after only eight months in business. The shiny John Deere tractors that have been parked for sale at the Weiser site have been moved to the company’s Fruitland location. Campbell Tractor Company is closing its farm equipment and implement sales and service business on Highway 95 south of Weiser at the end of the month, but the building will not stay empty for long.
